BIRTH OF THE
AGRI-KING FORAGE PROGRAMME
Starting from the knowledge that good forage is the cornerstone of effective nutrition, a programme to protect and enhance forage became top priority.
Thousands of forage analyses and the related performance of the forage in livestock diets showed consistent discrepancies between nutrient content and animal performance. A specific quantity of nutrient did not always mean it was available to the animal.
Finding a way to make more of the nutritional value of the forage available to the animal was the key.
Development of the Agri-King
Forage Programme
Agri-King became, and remains, the only livestock nutrition company to
develop and manufacture a forage programme in-house.
Prior to this, inoculants and additives had only been used to aid preservation and stability of forage. The Agri-King research & development team identified three, areas of importance in developing their product:

Minimising Shrinkage
With minimal heating and dry matter loss during ensiling, more nutrients, energy, and tonnes of feed are retained.

Stable and Palatable
By providing a stable and palatable crop at feed out results in less wastage of spoiled feeds.

Unlock Crop’s Potential
By “unlocking” more of the crop’s nutrients and potential energy during digestion in the animal, feed efficiency is increased.
