An International Business with More than 50 Years of Experience

Our story began back in 1968, when Del Curley developed an idea based on the success farmers were experiencing through soil testing and fertilising accordingly.

Just as with soil properties, the nutritional values of homegrown forages and feeds varied widely from farm to farm.

Could this concept be used to test feedstuffs, identify the nutrients lacking in the rations, and supplement them?

History of Agri-King

  • #011968

This idea of moving away from a “one size fits all” approach to livestock nutrition led to the birth of Agri-King, the first nutritional consultancy company to test feedstuffs and balance feeding rations using highly fortified products.
  • #021972

Agri-King establishes ANALAB, a state-of-the-art laboratory and research facility operated by professional chemists and microbiologists. This allows the company to test feedstuff samples, interpret the data and optimise its livestock feeding rations. Each year, the lab processes over 60,000 samples from the United States and around the world.
  • #031974

In only 6 years, Agri-King had moved four times, started its ANALAB laboratory for quality control, established an HQ with 28 people in Fulton, Illinois, and built up a sales team of 156 members, working across 12 different states.
  • #041997

Fast forward to 1997, and two members of the Agri-King team came to the UK and Ireland, beginning to develop what is now a very successful branch of the business. Continuing the ethos that each farm is different, and no two forages the same, they began to test and balance accordingly. Agri-King LTD now covers most of the UK and Ireland, providing laboratory services and products to livestock and forage crop producers.

The Agri-King Ethos

At Agri-King, we understand that each farm possesses unique characteristics and faces distinct challenges, and we recognise that no two forages are identical. The nutritional content of feeds can vary greatly, and capturing and maximising this nutritional value is essential for achieving profitability, ensuring the health of livestock, and promoting sustainable farming practices.

Our approach involves comprehensive research and the development of advanced, data-driven nutritional solutions tailored to the specific needs of each farm. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and scientific insights, we provide farmers with the tools and knowledge they need to optimise their feeding strategies, enhance animal performance, and improve overall farm productivity.

Our commitment is to support farmers in making informed decisions that lead to healthier animals, more efficient operations, and a positive environmental impact.
